All That Glitters isn't Gold

I feel about 12 years old again seeing as I have glitter on my nails! For some reason I really can't stand the crackle nail trend, especially when it's applied badly. Hoping one day I may change my mind and find one I actually like.
I had my nails plain for a bit, but it was a bit too long for me. So, I went to my local hair shop, as they sell cheap nail varnishes and I wanted to play around with something new.

I added a silver and multi colour glitter on top of the purple I got free from Mari Claire a little while ago. This picture really doesn't do it any justice, its SO glittery.

 I tried it on top of a few other colours, including a red (which I will definitely be wearing over the Xmas period)

 I'm hoping this weekend to pick up the new 17 Magnetized Nail Polish, I love I idea of this more than the crackle nail varnish. http://www.boots.com/en/17-Magnetized-Nail-Polish_1236505/

I really want a Matt topcoat as well.....arrrghh there are so many nail art bits and bobs I want but currently I can't afford.

Any other nail art fiends out there?
